To celebrate the World Heritage Day in association with JNIAS School of Planning and Architecture, Hyderabad and Architecture and Design Foundation [India] conducts the third Dr.V.K.Bawa Memorial Lecture by Vivek Rawal.

Vivek Rawal, an architect with a human touch, is the founder and director of People in Centre Consulting, Ahemdabad. He heads the thematic area of ‘Reinforcing People’s Capacities to Reduce Disaster Risks’ and ‘Reclaiming Urban Space for the People. He coordinates projects related to post disaster needs assessment, reconstruction and recovery, social housing, sustainable building technologies, participatory community planning and design. He is also a founder member of Owner Driven Reconstruction Collaborative (ODRC) – a network of NGOs providing support to the governments on establishing people centered post disaster programmes.
